Hi!
When will MP4 video files using the XAVC codec be supported, as recorded by many new 4k Camcorders like the Sony FDR-AX53?
TIA

Hello,
Could you please send us a sample of the file with XAVC codec?

I just sent an email to support@solveigmm.com with the link to sample file, referencing this thread.

JGZimmerle,
Received your file and replied back from the support.

Please try to trim the XAVC mp4 with the latest beta-version (http://www.solveigmm.com/download/SolveigMM_Video_Splitter_Home_Edition_6_1_Beta.exe) and post here or write to our technical support if you have any problems related to the XAVC trimming.

please excuse the late reply, somehow I had overlooked your last mail, and I have not been doing video editing work in the last few months.
I use the MacOS version of Video Splitter, I currently have version 3.3 installed, and I still get the error message that the source file is not supported or damaged. QuickTime Player 10.4 is playing and editing the file without problems, but as most of my files are around 70 GB large it takes ages to edit them, as QTP is always making a copy of the section between the in- and out-markers. I want to use Video Splitter to trim the first and last few minutes of many 4k-videos, which are each about 60 to 120 minutes long.

Hello JGZimmerle,
I would like to let you know that we added support for XAVC video to a MAC version of Video Splitter in version 4.2 (1912.28). This version should be available in the App Store, please check.
