Subtitle and multiple audio track support?!

(1/2) > >>

Jassy_Casper:
It definitely helps to double-check the 'Stream Selection' settings under the Control menu before you start your cut. By default, Video Splitter usually keeps all audio and subtitle tracks, but sometimes it defaults to just the first one depending on the file format (like if it's an MP4 vs. an MKV). If you make sure all the tracks you want are highlighted in that selection window, they should stay in sync and carry over perfectly to the trimmed file!

Hello Jassy_Casper,

Thank you for your post.

By default, Video Splitter should select all streams for preview and editing (you can see this in Control / Stream selection), when you place the file to the timeline from the Media library or if drag and drop the file to the timeline.
If you see that not all streams from the file are selected in this dialog box after placing the file on the timeline, could you please upload for us such file to Google drive (drive.google.com)?
Also please send us the project file - to get it select segments for saving and deletin then go to File / Save project as.

Also, what do you mean that it handles streams differently for MKV and MP4? Please describe this difference.
Screenshots are also appreciated.
You can send your reply to support(at)solveigmm(dot)com for convenience.

Thank you in advance.

Jassy_Casper:
That's a common one with Video Splitter. Usually, it depends on whether the source file is an MKV or an MP4, as the software handles the streams a bit differently during the trimming process.
Have you checked the "Stream Selection" settings before you start the cut? Sometimes you have to manually ensure all the audio and subtitle tracks are highlighted in the control panel, otherwise, it might just default to the first one it sees. If the tracks are there but just not playing back, it might also be worth checking the codec settings in the preferences to make sure everything is mapped correctly.

Hello Yulian14,

Thank you for your post.

Have you tried to use the Free Edition of 8th version?

Could you please send us the original input file (with srt file if you have) that you open in Video Splitter and the project file? You can upload it to any file sharing service, e.g. Google drive (https://drive.google.com) or Dropbox.com.

To get the project file open the input file in Video Splitter, set fragments for saving and deleting then go to File menu -> Save project as and select folder to save the project file.

Thank you in advance.
