Hello Trshelt1,

Thank you for your post and please excuse for the delay in reply.

Please try to uinstall both 5.5 and 6.1 versions from your computer.

After uninstallation please check if you have not got files in the folders below. If there will be any files in these folders, delete them manually.

"C:\Program files\HyperCam 6",  "C:\Program files\HyperCam 5"
and
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Solveig Multimedia"

or if you have 64 bit operating system the standard folders will be:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\HyperCam 6 and "C:\Program files (x86)\HyperCam 5"
and
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Solveig Multimedia"

Then please install version 6.1 and try to make the recording.
If this will not help, then please record and send us log files.

Please enable log files recording in the "Options"-"Extras"-"Write logs".
After that please restart your HyperCam and reproduce the error.
Open the log-files folder by clicking the "..." button on the same window and send us its contents to support(at)solveigmm(dot)com.
Regards,
Olga Krovyakova

Help
Hypercam Ver. 5.5 was working fine, was sent link to upgrade to Hypercam 6.1 - after install and code key purchase 6.1 will not record - When clicking the record button, the window highlight box for recording flashes then disappears. -  Uninstall, system reboot and re-install was done with same results - Did uninstall again- checked for any left over folders to delete, system reboot - did a re-install of 5.5 and it would not record - same results as 6.1 - did uninstall, system reboot and then did a system restore to 10 days prior and now the old Hypercam 5.5 is working as before.
Is there an issue with 6.1 for Win10 that causes it not to work in some cases? - Feel like I just wasted a whole day and new subscription fee for nothing.
Any feedback on this issue would be helpful.
