Title: AVI Trimmer hangs after setting source file

I have installed/re-installed AVI Trimmer (1.6.810.31) several times but have the same problem every time. After I set the source file the application freezes. I've used AVI Trimmer before and from what I can remember a small video preview screen pops up below the main screen after setting the source file. I'm not getting the video preview screen - can't do anything with AVI Trimmer at all after that, not even close it (have to kill the app through task manager). Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hi Dmitry,

If you mean like 'have I installed packs such as k-lite, etc.' then no. But I have installed a couple of converters (Daniusoft, Super) and I have trial versions of Replay Media Catcher and Media Converter - not sure but don't they come with codecs? Also, when I play some videos via WMP I sometimes see the message 'acquiring codec' so as you can probably tell by now I do not really know how to answer your question.

I did a bit of reading on how to find out what codecs are in my pc and saw the how-to instructions via control panel, etc. Here's a list of the audio and video codecs that were listed:

Hi adg2,

Could you please try to uninstall Replay Converter and Catcher and try if the AVI trimmer problem dissipater?

That was it Dmitry. AVI Trimmer now works fine after I uninstalled Replay Media Catcher and Converter. Thanks for your help.

Thank you also, seems one of that program install certain codecs to make AVI trimmer unable to oparate. We will figure out what is wrong.
