Hello to all!

We wish to inform that we we have added two new possibilities to the Batch Manager of Video Splitter:
The feature is to set the same times for the saved fragment or to set the same duration of the files at the end and beginning of  the file that should not be included to the final video.

The version with new features for batch processing is available for download here:

http://solveigmm.com/files/SolveigMM_Video_Splitter_Business_Edition_6_1_1703_6_Beta.exe

To set the same start and end time of the fragment in the all files:

Please mark the tasks in Batch Manager and click the right mouse button and select “Set Start/Stop on Selected Task(s) ”

Please set the required times and they will be changed in the marked tasks within the list

To set the same duration at the beginning and the end of the file that should be deleted

For example, you have 100 files of different duration and in all of them would like to delete the first 4 seconds at the beginning and 8 seconds at the end.

You can drag and drop the files from Windows Browser to the Batch Manager without adding to Video Splitter Interface.  Further please select the files and click right mouse button and please select Shift Trimming Intervals.

Please enter the required values:

And please launch the tasks for editing

Seems you drag-and-drop all files to the Batch manager directly.

Or many files in the main window and the batch manager appears.

In this case in the batch manager project fille (yes, it is .xtl file) the will not be accuracy="frame" string.
But in spite of this Video Splitter should select the best appropriate mode of the file editing.
It will try to cut the each file that was added to the batch list with the frame accuracy, and if that does not work the key frame accuracy will be selected.

WOW, if it's true and works, that's phantastic. Thanks for information about that hidden feature.

Just the note, maybe the way of editing files described in the guideline available at the link below will be more convenient to edit files.

Nooo ... why editing every file individual (20, 50 or more!!!) in case all files will be edit at the same time? That's not the main idea of batch processing.

Thanks
The Fiddler

If the frame accurate mode is enabled then in the batch manager project file

The xtl file?

there should be the string below by default:
<track video="1" audio="1" accuracy="frame" >
Could you please let us know if it also works such way at your side?

No, all files get <track video="1" audio="1">
no matter the smart mode is enabled or not

If not, could you please send for us the input original file for we could check it at our end?

It depends not on the choosen video file. It's effective for all video files.

Hello Mike, T

Thank you for your reply.

If the frame accurate mode is enabled then in the batch manager project file there should be the string below by default:

<track video="1" audio="1" accuracy="frame" >

Could you please let us know if it also works such way at your side?

If not, could you please send for us the input original file for we could check it at our end? You can upload it to any file host service. e.g. Dropbox.com or Google Drive.

Also could you please record for us log files? Here is the short gudeiline on how to get them:

http://www.solveigmm.com/en/faq/how-to-record-log-files-of-solveigmm-video-splitter/

If you mean that in case you use the key accuracy mode and would like to switch all tasks to frame accurate editing mode in one pass, then regrettably this is not supported at the present time and we think over about the implementing such a feature to the next releases of the product.

... You are right in all points. For point "Step 3" I would like to note the following.

... please check if you have enabled the "Frame accarate (Smart mode)" checkbox at Control menu before the editing.
This checkbox is enabled by default in Video Splitter.

I always use it enabled by default for every video file.

Hello Mike,

Thank you for contacting us.

You are right in all points. For point "Step 3" I would like to note the following.

If you would like all files that are added to the batch list will be edited with the frame accuracy please check if you have enabled the "Frame accarate (Smart mode)" checkbox at Control menu before the editing.
This checkbox is enabled by default in Video Splitter. If it is disabled then the editing will be with the key frame (GOP) accuracy.

But if you would like to change the accuracy mode after the editing of all tasks in the batch list, then you are right, this is regrettably not possible at the present time.

We'll keep in mind all of your notes and suggestions and think over about their possible inclusion in the next release of Video Splitter.

If there will be implemented any of your interesting suggestions, I'll post here.

Thank you.

Tested ... some features not found but requested
« Reply #1 on: May 19, 2014, 06:41:22 PM »
Hello, after testing the video splitter software:

1. Editing many files via batch manager
What I want: To cut the FIRST xx seconds of many videos

Step1:
Loading many files in the batch manager, okay
Step2:
I want to change the start time of all videos in one step from "0" to "40000000"
means: Cut Off the first four seconds of all loaded videos

There is no way to do that.

Step3:
I want to change the
<track video="1" audio="1" >
of all videos in one step in
<track video="1" audio="1" accuracy="frame" >

There is no way to do that.

2. Editing many files via batch manager
What I want: To cut the LAST xx seconds of many videos
means: Cut Off the last xx seconds of all loaded videos

There is no way to do that.

3. Fade in / Fade out
There is no way to do that.

Am I right?
Is it possible to add this features? Or is it implemented but I didn't find it?

Thanks
Mike (from germany)
