Hello guys,
First of all let declare I am a novice in this field.
I have used the Splitter for period and are able to cut out commercial from TV streams
I record from World TV Pro. They have this format:
H264 – MPEG – 4 AVC (past 10) (h264)
When Solveig has finished and I open the saved file in Soveig again everything run nicely in video and the audio. The edited file has exactly the same codek as before editing.

When I open the edited file in VLC I have video and sound but video and audio stops then start again and this repeat itself time after time.

When I run the edited file in windows mediaplayer (Win7) the video run nicely but the audio is gone.

I have tried many things during the couple of months but no luck.
What am I missing. Can anyone please put me on the right track.

Arne

Hello again,
Tanks for useful tip Olga.

Yesterday I got a big surprise and some good progress finally. You remember
my first post where I wrote this:

“When I run trim to take out some commercial, trim do not complete (estimate around 75% completed) and I get this error message, from Solveig Video Splitter:
"Not enough storage is available to process this command
 HRESULT : 0x800700008
 unspesified error hr= 0x80004005"”

It turns out that my Solveig... did the job perfectly all the time and I discovered it by chance when I vent true the folder witch is packed with recorded streams.  Solveig.... sent me an error message which is untrue. Further more it continue to send this error message every time I do a trim.

For the first time in my 30 years as PC user (I got my first computer in 1982) I have a new program which tells me that something is wrong when every ting in fact is OK . For new users which have the same needs as me this will not help them. My I ask some Solveig... system people to please look into this and do the necessary changes. It will improve Solveig's future.

Am I the only one who get this message?

The last error message was OK. I had some finger trouble.

I have finally start to discover what Solveig.... can do for me

Have a nice day

Hello,
I have reinstalled Solveig.... last version to make sure the installation is OK.

And I am trying to split again because I must be doing something wrong, right.
Now It stops earlier than before. After I start Trim and given the file a new name
Solveig... gives me this error message:

CDSPlayer::OnStart()
(The parameter is incorrect.
hr = 0x800700587

Indicating I believe That the first (or left hand) marker is not set right.
I have checked the tutorial from the previous version of Solveig but cannot se I have done any error.
Can someone please tell me in text in detail how to set the markers in the last version?

Please
Arne

Thank's Olga,
I use win 7 ultimate and I have latest version of Solveig..... installed.
I have read the tutorial (for the previous version) and find it very easy.
open the file in Solveig
put marker one
put marker two
move your cursor in between the markers
order to take the area out (push the button underneath)
push Trim
give filename for saving or let Solveig choice an automatic one

Am I missing something?

Video Splitter / Video splitter cannot trim MPEG4 AVC files?
« on: May 02, 2012, 08:33:00 PM »
I am streaming and recording TV from “World TV Pro”. I am told that the format is “asf“ with H.264 compression. When I open such a file Solveig tells me it is MPEG4 AVC (Audio format MPEG1 L-3).

I have installed and activated SolveigMM Video Splitter 3.0. 1204. 17

The video file I record can be up to 2 to 3 Gb in size.

When I run trim to take out some commercial, trim do not complete (estimate around 75% completed) and I get this error message, from Solveig Video Splitter:
"Not enough storage is available to process this command
 HRESULT : 0x800700008
 unspesified error hr= 0x80004005"

I am totally new to this and  hope somebody can help me. I have tried several times with both large and small asf files. Can someone please help me to get Solveig to work?
Look forward to any response.
