I had the same issue on Windows Server 2008. I solved it by installing the 'Desktop Experience' feature under the Server Manager tool. It seems the installer verifies Windows Media Player is installed before it can register that dll.

Are you trying to install it to Cell phone? I'm afraid you have not usual XP but XP embedded there, that differs from PC version.
Anyway, we have not tested and claimed that our software can be used with smart phones.

I am having the same problem in installing it on a Samsung NC10 running XP :-\ . Any suggestions?

Never mind, it seems to work fine in XP :)
PS It was 2k3 Advanced Server.
