Title: no datatcode
Post by: todsweeney on January 24, 2010, 07:37:59 PM

Hi, I have just installed AVI Trimmer(OS Windows Vista Black Edition) with the express purpose of reducing the size of avi files. The files are 289mb and 957mb and were the result of the production of video files from CINE FILM. Having loaded the file into your programme I am advised there is no datacode present (understandably). Would you please advise if there is any way I can trim these files as there is much footage to be removed.

I have a dual boot system with AVI TRIMMER also installed on (OS Windows XP Pro). This wasn't my intention but having installed on XP the pc freezes when attempting to open the source file and I have to re-boot. Can you advise of the possible problem here.

System
Intel core duo 2.8 & 2.8Ghz
4GB RAM
2 x 500GB SATA HDD
ATI Radeon HD4650

Many thanks.

Hello todsweeney,

Thank you for your interest to our software.
Sorry but I have not quite cought what datacode you meant.

Are your AVI files DV AVI (http://www.solveigmm.com/?Support&id=video_editing_glossary#AVI%20DV%20type%201)?

If they are not DV, you can set start stop times by left time edit controls or set fragments by slider.
