The Splitter support MPEg-2 files frame accurate editing. It supports MPEG-1 files in only joining mode.

Hi,
I have installed the 2.2.905.18 Beta version but get the Error message IO 105 on installation.
What film varieties does this program work with; is it just MPEG-2, or does it work with MPEG-1 (films), 3, 4 etc ? I tried to load a .mpg file and it said that it didn't support MPEG-1, but it mentions that format on the web page

Hi Buffy007,

AVI trimmer does not support MPEG-2 files but only AVI ones. For MPEG-2 format please use SolveigMM Video Splitter

2.1 or 2.2 beta

Hi, I downloaded the software and registered it yesterday AVI_Trimmer_1_6 & WMP_Trimmer_Plugin_1_5 according to the .zip files.

I'm not a computer buff and all I can say is that the film file is about 4 of years old and is suffixed with .mpg.  Right clicking and checking Properties doesn't give any more detail.

Hello Buffy007,

Thank you for feedback. Please let us know what version do you use and what do exactly your MPG files represent - MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 or maybe MPEG-4?

Dear Sirs, When I try to edit a mpg file I get the above error. Does the engine work on mpg files and if so, what can I do about the error ? I have only recently started using the software and keep getting error messages.  I'm running Windows XP Pro with fully updated service packs etc.. I'd be grateful for advice !
