Title: .apk files in Appdata folder
Post by: msteph46 on November 25, 2015, 07:48:44 AM
I'm sorry if this has been addressed before - I didn't see it in searches.

I see that there are 77 files with the file extension ".apk" in the folder, "C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Roaming\Solveig Multimedia\SolveigMM Video Splitter Home\Index"; these are all videos I've worked on (very successfully - Video Splitter is a great program!) and the majority are under 5MB but the total size of the folder takes up 400+MB.

Is it ok to delete those .apk files to regain that space.

Thanks for your help.

Mike S.

Hello msteph46,

Thank you for your post.

.apk files are files that save audio wave settings for each file and are stored for purposes not to wait each time for the audio wave constructing after the file opening. This files are created when you open any new file with audio content.
You can delete these files to clean your space on computer, but  note that after that if you open any file again that was previously opened (one of 77 files) the audio wave will be constucted not immediately, but after some time.

Thank you Olga, for clarifying that issue so quickly.

I will delete those files since I have no need to load the videos again.
