Hello Yoshi,

The navigation on k-frames on your file was fixed.
Please use the version available from the link below.

http://solveigmm.com/files/SolveigMM_Video_Splitter_Home_Edition_4_0_1410_2_Beta.exe

Thank you very much Olga, and team, for the fix. The download version works perfectly with my Canon and Pentax video files. I realize the problem I reported was not something critical, but it is great to be able to use Video Splitter like normal again.

Kind regards,
Yoshi

Hello Yoshi,

Regrettably there is no news yet about this bug.

The fixing of this problem is still in our "to do" list.

I'll write here when the updated version will be ready.

Thank you for your response Olga and I hope the todo list isn't too long...  ;)

Dear Youshi,

Please excuse me for the delayed answer,

Yes I've received your file and noticed the same issue while navigation on the K-frame.
We still work on this issue.

I'll post here as soon as there will be any news.

As the temborary solution please try to open the file in Video Splitter, click on the "Trim" buutton without selecting of any fragments and then open the resulted output file again in Video Splitter.
After such sequence of actions the k-frame navigation should work correctly.

Thank you for your patience.

Have a nice day.

Hello Olga,

Any news concerning the problem I reported back in March?

Dear Olga,

Thank you for answering my questions. It's good to know that you encountered the same K Frame problem and I am sure that it will be fixed soon.

I already save video clips with the K Frame problem as fragments in Video Splitter, as I wrote in my initial post, and then load them again in Video Splitter to make the K Frames work. It's an extra step, but it is sufficient for now.

Being patient is no problem.

Regards and have a nice day,
Yoshi

Dear Youshi,

Please try to use the version available from the link below:

http://solveigmm.com/files/SolveigMM_Video_Splitter_Home_Edition_4_0_1402_28_Beta.exe

If the issue remains with it, it would be really helpful for us if you could send us the sample of the original file. You can upload it to any file host service, e.g. to dropbox.com with 2Gbs free space.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Olga,

Thank you for your quick reply!

I downloaded the beta version and installed it. Sadly I have to inform you that in this version the K Frame problem still persists with the MPEG4 AVC videos.

For your convenience I uploaded a short clip to my website and I will email you the link.

Your help is much appreciated.
Yoshi

Hello Olga,

First question, did you receive the email with the link to the test clip that I made available on my site?

And secondly, is there any progress on the K Frame problem I reported?

Regards,
Yoshi

After upgrading from SolveigMM Video Splitter 3.x to version 4.x, I noticed that the K Frame buttons are not working properly with video from my Canon and Pentax cameras. Both use the MPEG4 AVC format in a MOV container.

When loading such a clip in Video Splitter and clicking "Next K Frame (Right)" the cursor always jumps to the end of the timeline and when clicking "Previous K Frame (Left)", it always jumps back to the beginning of the timeline. This problem did not occur in the 3.x version(s) before I upgraded.

There is a work around however. When I save the complete video as a Video Splitter fragment and then load that "fragment", the K Frame buttons work. Not the most elegant solution, as you will agree, but it is sufficient for now.

Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated and, if necessary, I can email a short clip as this will probably be helpful finding a solution.
