No Encoders in Preferences List

Hmm, I wonder why it doesn't show the encoders already existing on my system, as there are a few since I do a lot of video work. Oh, well, the software isn't working anyway so I guess isn't an issue yet.

Hello hurricane51,
Video Splitter enumerates decoders/encoders installed in your system. In general you don't need this feature as Video Splitter uses its own codecs for the most popular video compression formats.

I guess I'm supposed to import some encoders into this list, but the Help gives no instructions how to do this. What's the procedure?
