Hello philebus,

Please excuse us for inconveniences you probably had  trying to download the latest version, we will check links.

You can always download the latest version from the Video Splitter home page: http://www.solveigmm.com/en/products/video-splitter

You can use this link to download 2.3 version: http://www.solveigmm.com/download/SolveigMM_Video_Splitter.exe

You can also try if you want 2.4 beta version to which we have implemented AVC/H264, MP4, AVCHD files support for frame accuracy/ GOP accuracy editing and merging.

Topic where you can write about all possible bugs of 2.4 version: http://www.solveigmm.com/forum/index.php?topic=3197.0

Thanks.

OK, I managed to download, install and register the latest version by getting it from cnet download.com. Still, have a look at your own website to see why the page for download won't load (or at least won't do so here 'Downunder' in Australia). Also check out why when you purchase the product through upgrade you only get the 2.2 beta version.

Anyway, I'm not really complaining as I now have the latest version registered at half price and I DO REALLY LIKE YOUR PRODUCT. I've been using it since early in version 1 and acknowledge it is the best out there at what it does and should get better when it split H.264/MPEG-4 Part 10 files. Note, though that in respect of h.264 Videoredo already does a fine job on splitting and joining these files without re-encoding. And it is fast too. But I am not all that expert in using videoredo and I'm sure it has its own quirks and limitations.

OK, I followed the links and purchased version 2 via upgrade option, but upon purchase the link provided was only to the 2.2 beta version (dated 2009).

Anyway, I downloaded and registered this version but can't update to the latest WINDOWS 7 COMPATIBLE VERSION. First, the update option in the registrator does not work. And second, the video splitter web page with the download link to version 3 is not accessible.

So is there anyway you can directly send me the link to my email address. I can provide my new activation code upon request. But I didn't pay to update to be stuck with an old 2009 beta version. Something is clearly not right at your end.

Hello Robert,

Thanks for contacting us.

> 1. Is the latest version compatible with win 7 64 bit? If so, is it a 32 bit application that simply works well with 64 bit or is there a 64 version available (or in the pipeline)?

Yes, the latest Video Splitter 2.3 is compatible with Windows 7,  64 bit. This product works well both on 32 bit systems and on 64 bits. It've received officail mark "Compatible with Windows 7" from Microsoft corporation.

Pelese  have a look at his Microsoft Page:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/ru-RU/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=SolveigMM%20Video%20Splitter&v=Solveig%20Multimedia&uid=2&l=ru&pf=0&pi=1&c=Photo%20%26%20Video&sc=Other&os=64-bit

> 2. Is there a discount on the licence fee for an upgrade as opposed to a first purchase. In short, must I pay full price? Or is there a discount?

Yes we provide discounts and its value depends on which version was purchased.
Customers are entitled to free upgrades within the major version of the product.
We offer 50% discount for customers which would like to get upgrade from 1.x to 2.x version.
So you can purchase upgrade from v. 1.2.7.15 to 2.3 with 50% discount.

To  get the upgrade go to http://www.solveigmm.com/en/products/video-splitter/#Buy_now and click on "Upgrade for licensed users",  you will be asked to enter your personal registration information. After successful verification you will  receive email with link for upgrade with discount.

> 3. I notice that the coming version 2.4 will have certain features that I desire. If I have a licence for 2.3 will the upgrade to 2.4 be free?

Yes,  it will be free in this case.

Hi,

I've been a longtime user of videosplitter. Currently I have version 1.2.7.15 and it has worked well with my old win xp system.

Now I have upgraded my system to windows 7 64 bit and am wondering if it might be good to upgrade video splitter to the latest version.

So I have a few questions.

1. Is the latest version compatible with win 7 64 bit? If so, is it a 32 bit application that simply works well with 64 bit or is there a 64 version available (or in the pipeline)?

2. Is there a discount on the licence fee for an upgrade as opposed to a first purchase. In short, must I pay full price? Or is there a discount?

3. I notice that the coming version 2.4 will have certain features that I desire. If I have a licence for 2.3 will the upgrade to 2.4 be free?

thanks

Robert
