Hello Jassy_Casper,

Thank you for your post.

By default, Video Splitter should select all streams for preview and editing (you can see this in Control / Stream selection), when you place the file to the timeline from the Media library or if drag and drop the file to the timeline.
If you see that not all streams from the file are selected in this dialog box after placing the file on the timeline, could you please upload for us such file to Google drive (drive.google.com)?
Also please send us the project file - to get it select segments for saving and deletin then go to File / Save project as.

Also, what do you mean that it handles streams differently for MKV and MP4? Please describe this difference.
Screenshots are also appreciated.
You can send your reply to support(at)solveigmm(dot)com for convenience.

Thank you in advance.

That's a common one with Video Splitter. Usually, it depends on whether the source file is an MKV or an MP4, as the software handles the streams a bit differently during the trimming process.
Have you checked the "Stream Selection" settings before you start the cut? Sometimes you have to manually ensure all the audio and subtitle tracks are highlighted in the control panel, otherwise, it might just default to the first one it sees. If the tracks are there but just not playing back, it might also be worth checking the codec settings in the preferences to make sure everything is mapped correctly.

Hello Yulian14,

Thank you for your post.

Have you tried to use the Free Edition of 8th version?

Could you please send us the original input file (with srt file if you have) that you open in Video Splitter and the project file? You can upload it to any file sharing service, e.g. Google drive (https://drive.google.com) or Dropbox.com.

To get the project file open the input file in Video Splitter, set fragments for saving and deleting then go to File menu -> Save project as and select folder to save the project file.

Thank you in advance.
Best Regards,

I'm still having to use ver 6.1.1707.19 because of the subtitle sync problem. I just tried the latest 64-bit version yesterday and it still has the same problem. I use the video splitter to edit vulgar language and video out of movie files, but the latest versions cannot keep the subtitles in sync after editing. I complained about this 2 years ago, uploaded files that were checked by your staff, and after the problem was duplicated I was told I would be contacted by email when a fix was made. The problem was never fixed and still exists in the version just released.

Hello DavidSpade,

Thank you for your post.

All these features are supported by Video Splitter at the present time. You can download the demo version by the link below and check it.

https://www.solveigmm.com/en/products/video-splitter/

"How to edit media file with several audio tracks" guideline:
https://www.solveigmm.com/en/howto/how-to-edit-media-file-with-several-audio-tracks/

Video Splitter supports embedded subtitles of formats: UTF8, ASS, SSA, GAB2 in  AVI, MKV, WEBM files and supports external subtitles of formats: ASS, SRT in AVI, MKV, WEBM, MP4.

If there will be any questions, please feel free to ask.

AVI Trimmer + MKV is a great piece of software. There are however two huge cons:
- It cannot handle more than one audio track at a time
- It cannot handle subtitles (and by subtitles, I don't mean that I want to create hardcoded subtitles from a file. I need the subtitles inside the MKV to be preserved, but cut down according to the edits I've made)

From the demo, it doesn't look like your flagship software "Video Splitter" can do these things either.

Are there any plans for implementing support for these things? MKV is thriving particularly because it can have these things in them, and the files are easily customized using MKVmerge, except that doesn't support non-keyframe editing. If these features were there, I'd buy Video Splitter in a heartbeat...not to mention, I'd never need another piece of video editing software for many years.
