Hi TrevorSaldana,

Actually MPEG2 has nothing to do with Apple. try to find normal MPEG-2 decoder.
If you upload a sample of your file we can suggest you something more. Are you on MAc?

Mpeg-2 format?
« Reply #1 on: July 23, 2019, 05:18:18 PM »
I'm transferring some old 8mm home videos to digital through a fairly cheap third party video encoder. However what I didn't realize was that the videos encode natively into MPEG-2 format. Which brings me to my question, MPEG-2 is part of the Quicktime family, and Quicktime is no longer supported by Apple. I've done my research and I need the Quicktime MPEG-2 codec for OSX. Unfortunately after some time on the phone with Apple they told me I'm SOL because it's not theirs anymore.tweakbox appvalley https://vlc.onl/

Does anyone know where I could find the codec online? most links I've found send me to dead ends.
