Thank you post.
Video Splitter currently can only delete entirely the video track from the file. For this you need to deselect the video track in Control / Select streams... by clicking the icon with scissors.
Unfortunately at the moment the "video mute" or video frame freezing is not yet available. But we will possibly add such feature to its next releases.

Thank you for your post.

The hot keys for navigation are: Right/Left to navigate to Next/Previous K frame and Ctrl + Right/Ctrl + Left to move to the Next/Previous frame, also jump to 2 minutes forward/backward: Shift+Right/Shift+Left.

The mouse wheel unfortunately can only zoom the timeline. For zooming you can also set the preferred scale (also possible up to frame) by moving the appropriate control near "Save" button.

1. In (very roughly) 10% of all cases it is either not possible to cut at all, or (more often) to remove the beginning of a file, because the program stops with an error message that says something like "The start time has been set after the end time".

Please try to use version available for the download at the following link, this bug should be fixed in it:

2. Every now and then (very rough guess: after 20 to 30 cuts) the program insists that it isn't licensed, and a deinstal/reinstal is necessary.

Please let us know file(s) of what formats you cut when get this error? So you have the registered version and after 20-30 cuts it says that it is not licensed?

Hello holgermh,

Thank you for your post.
I've checked this at our end on new Windows 7 64 bit machine and version 6.1.1701.09 with the installed K-lite codec pack of the same version and Video Splitter works ok at our end.
Could you please upload for us sample or original input file for we could reproduce this error at our end? You can use e.g. Google drive to upload the file.

You can also try to completely reinstall Video Splitter. For this: I recommend to try to uninstall it from your computer at first (you can use Start -> All programs -> Solveig Multimedia -> SolveigMM Video Splitter Home Edition -> Uninstall  or Windows Control Panel).

After uninstall please make sure that all files in the folders below were removed from your computer

"C:\Program Files(x86)\Solveig Multimedia\SolveigMM Video Splitter Home Edition"
and
"C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Solveig Multimedia"

If there will be any files in this folders please delete them manually from these folders.

Then you could install the product again.
The latest version is available at:

Regrettably I've not reproduced this issue at out end.
Could you please upload for us your input MKV file to e.g. Google drive with 15 Gb free space.

According editing MP4 files - please specify more detailed what problem with output file you get. Do you see artefacts, async or something else?

Нет, перекодировки не происходит.

Получается, что только если реально файл режем, то по краям идет перекодировка?

Если файл режится в режиме с точностью до кадра, то перекодируются кадры до первого ключевого в начале файла.
Здесь есть схема-пояснение различия редактирования с точностью до кадра и до ключевого кадра.

Добрый день!

Выяснил путём экспериментов, что первая проблема из цитируемого сообщения (касательно кнопки Play-Pause) проявляется только когда активна настройка "Synchronize media library list with files on timeline".

Проблему удалось воспроизвести, спасибо. Поправим в ближайшее время.

Специально зарегистрировался, чтобы прояснить ряд моментов по версии 5.2.1602.24. Она потребовалась для резки и склейки домашнего видео в формате AVCHD (mts), снятого камерой Canon Legria 606. Нужна была прога именно без перекодирования, как у Вас заявлено. Но что-то меня сомнения берут... Пробовал пропускать файл один в один без резки - на входе и выходе по факту разный размер. Так все-таки: перекодирование есть или нет? Может я что-то не так понимаю?

Разный размер файлов объясняется следующим: при создании файла камерой используются ее собственные декадоры/энкодеры, Video Splitter использует же свои собственные компоненты, отличные от тех что использует ваша видео камера. При этом Video Splitter не перекодирует весь файл, а только пару отдельных кадров в начале файла при использовании резки с точностью до кадра (по умолчанию). При использовании режима с точностью до ключевого кадра перекодирования не происходит вовсе.

И еще поймал ошибку, правда пока в единственном числе. Один из резаных и файлов не жуется в дальнейшем NERO VIDEO, исходник проглатывается без  проблем.

Пришлите, пожалуйста, оригинальный файл и файл проекта (выберите фрагменты для сохранения и перейдите в Файл / Сохранить проект как).
Можно загрузить его, например, на Google drive или Dropbox.com.

Попробуйте использовать последнюю доступную версию 6.1 - будет ли на ней эта же ошибка?
