Thank you for your post.

At the present time you can add the Media list of Video Splitter 6 the files with the same: format, video and audio codec, resolution, bitrate and frame rate. If files have some differences, then you'll see such "Some files were ignored because of unmatched content with existing in the list" information notice.
So, please select files of the same characteristics (format, video, audio content)  to add them to Media list of Video Splitter 6.

Уточните, пожалуйста, на каком этапе использования программы у вас возникает данная ошибка.
Если она проявляется с каким-то конкретным файлом, то пришлите, пожалуйста, его (можно использовать, например, Google drive).
Это поможет скорее решить данную проблему.

Thank you for your post and please excuse for the delay in reply!

Especialy which end of a cut-out/keep section is frame inclusive.

To be clear,
if I set markers for cut-out section with both ends on keyframe, will some of them be preserved in output file or do both of them get excluded or included?
It'd make sense to include one end of a cut, because from relativistic point of view, end of cut-out section coincides with start of keep section and vice versa, but it's not obvious which one is preserved.

As you can see in the frame mode of the Video Splitter's timeline (don't miss to check up the "Slider K-frame position" / "Marker K-frame position" in Control menu settings), the slider will be always placed to the beginning of the k-frame. So if you cut out the selected fragment that begins and ends with the k-frame, the output file will not include the k-frame of begin of the cutted out fragment and will include the k-frame on which the End marker of cutted out fragment is setted.

how to make the best frame accurate cut so the original information is altered at least,
for example start exactly at, frame before, frame after a keyframe, end at non-key, vice-versa?

If you use the frame accuracy the best quality will be if the start marker of cutted/keept fragment is placed on the k-frame.
If the keept fragment starts not with the k-frame then the few frames before the next k-frame could be re-encoded. More about the frame/k-frame accurate editing could be found here.

Hello ollie,

Thank you for your post. We will consider your suggestion!

As the solition to dublicate the fragments of the same file you could follow these steps:

1) Open the file in Media list

2) Drag this file to the timeline

3) Now when the file file on the timeline - drag this, same file from "Media" list to any place between the end and begin of the timeline where the new fragment should be placed.



4) Click on the "collapsed" marker at the one and another side of the timeline (in case you work in the "Cut" mode).



5) Correct markers position by moving markers of the collapsed intervals to set the right position for the fragments and the video sequence at all.



Now you get for example the dublication of the start of the video in the middle of the video.
You can add in such a way any number of fragments of the same file to the one timeline.

In addition, you could mute the audio for the selected fragment using "Set audio silence" button.
Possibly this new feature of VS6 will be helpful for your task.

Добрый день!

Ramzes, такие файлы мы не принимаем. Если у вас появятся ошибка с файлами приемлемого содержимого, будем рады, если Вы сможете поделиться с ними.

Про нечитаемые форматы можно еще добавить и кодировку с 10битовым цветом для h264 кодека. Примером может служить  раздача на Кинозале.тв сериала Сопрано 1080p качества.

SHOOTnikMP, не могли бы Вы прислать нам данный файл (L:\TV\The Sopranos\Season 1\The.Sopranos.S01E01.mkv)?

Не могли бы Вы загрузить 2 образца файлов: один WMV и один MP4, например, на Google drive.

MKV файлы c видео потоком HEVC пока не поддерживаются, но ведутся работы по поддержке таких файлов.
Как только появится поддержка таких файлов, мы Вам сообщим.

1. the ability to insert start and end markers, copy the segment and then to insert multiple copies onto the timeline....eg. title sequence at the start, and at the end of a video

So, am I right that you would like to duplicate some fragments on the timeline?

2. cutting the audio and video independently of each other....sometime you want either the audio or video but NOT both in a segment.....which means

This feature is already available. You need just to disable the desired audio or video track that you would not like to be saved before the trimming start in Control -> Select streams or click the "Select streams..." button in the "Save as" dialog window opens after starting the editing operation.

3. either black frames are inserted OR the last video frame might have to be duplicated OR ability to insert external images or video ....into the missing areas on the timeline

Video Splitter / Re: WHY unmatched content?

Thank you for your post.

I've tried to used the latest beta version and it joined these two files sucessfully without "unmatched" content notification.
Please let us know what operation you have tried to use, what task you need to be done? Was it Join Manager or have you tried to used e.g. "Save all fragment as" option from the menu opens after the right mouse clicking on the timeline?

If you would like these fragments to be saved after they were selected on the timeline to the single file, then you need to click the "Save" button.
