Video Splitter / Re: Demitry!! Found the problem!

I just installed the latest version of Klite Mega Codec Pack and I noticed the Halii splitter was selected.  I checked the box for the Windows media splitter (which shows as "recommended"), installed the codec pack and rebooted.  Then started MMVideoSplitter, chose an .avi file that wouldnt open before, split the video and it works just fine.  Happy days!  Maybe this info may be helpful to any others having a similiar problem.

It settled the problem with Haali Media Splitter (with switched AVI support) compatibility. It would be nice if you test it.

Hi Gord,
Thank you for the answer.

Could you perform for us a couple of tests?

1. Reinstall KliteCodeckPack and leave Haali splitter AVI support unchecked.
Then try to split any file with SolveigMM Video Splitter.

2. Try to perform his task by means of Batch Manager.
In "Save Media File As" set check box in "Don't Start now. Add the task to batch".

Then call Batch Manager to be shown (Ctrl+B) and start batch processing by "Ctrl+T".
We are interesting of whether this operation will be successful.

Hi Gord,

Both work and home PC are English WinXP, is not it?
Do you you use Klite codec Pack?

And could you please describe your actions with the Splitter to get the mentioned errors in detail?

I mean do you get the first error when you open file?
And what kind of files you have the problem with (AVI,ASF,WMV)?

VideoSplitter seems to have  some problem with haali AVI splitter. We will check it up.

Video Splitter / Re: Cannot open AVI files in MMVideoSplitter

Regestered user of MMVideoSplitter..latest version installed..installed Windows media9runtime...Receive error message "Source File is not supported or damaged".  Other formats (WMV,ASF still work ok).  Uninstalled and re-installed MMVideoSplitter several times...still does not work on AVI files.  Tried opening some of the files I was able to open a month ago, but can no longer open these.  Running WinXPSP2.  Help please...great program...when it used to work.

Also are ably to play these AVI files with windows media player?

Video Splitter / Frame accurate cutting in Video Splitter?

Dear Stefan,

First of all thank you for the interest and pleasant opinion about Video Splitter.

You are right we have been going to implement a frame accurate trimming feature since April. But unfortunately there are a lot of other features that should be implemented. Nevertheless we will implement it necessarily. It is rather difficult to say when exactly it happens but I hope within two nearest months.

Oh, and some other (convenience) issue: When one of the markers is selected, how do I start playback from that position?

A slider cursor jumps to a selected marker upon double clicking on the marker.

Thank you for the feedback.
First of all what version do you use? See this information in about dialog.
Could you also let us know what kind of file (AVI,ASF,WMV) you get this error with and what a stage of trimming this happens in?

Also it would be useful if you post enumerating versions of objects to be used by SolveigMM Video Splitter.

To get this list please call "icon"->"info...", then select all the filters within a dialog to appear, copy an information to a clipboard and past this here.

Secondly, when I try to use the batch convert the following problem occurs: I drag-and-drop multiple files to the program thus creating a batch queue. I edit individual files and when trying to start the batch trim only the first one gets converted and the others just get "ran through", meaning that the progress indicator moves really fast through all of the files on the list yet doing nothing.

I've noticed that when opening the .xtl file I can see that the program adds " as_value="00:07:09.49"" parameter to each "track"-object. Removing this from all of the "track" objects seems to solve the problem in most cases. But where does this as_value come from?

This problem has also been fixed, please try new version (1.2.10.11)

Thank you fot the feedback.

Firstly, when I try to move in the wmv file towards the end using arrow keys and there are black frames in the movie the program slows down dramatically and the processor load rises well above normal, sometimes nearly 100 %. I use the latest updates of Windows and have re-installed all of the WM codecs without luck.

Please try the new version whether it still contains the trouble you mentioned.
