It happens with all AVI files.

I don't believe I have K-Lite codec pack installed. I don't remember installing it but is there a way for me to determine if I do? I looked in the Control Panel for Uninstall Programs and it is not listed there. Also I don't have anything on the Start Menu for it. Is there anything else I should look for or any other place I should look for it?

Hello John,

Thank  you  for contacting us.

Is this freezing occur with all .avi files or with certain file? If with certain, could you please specify what audio/video streams has it? You can  use Media Info or our Video Splitter to find out this.

John, have you K-lite Codec pack installation on you PC?

I saw a post from 01-Feb-2009 about what seems to be this same problem: http://www.solveigmm.com/forum/index.php?topic=2424.0

I haven't found any other posts about this problem.

I downloaded and installed AVI Trimmer + MKV 2.0 (freeware) OK. When I open a new AVI file, the application freezes and I need to use Task Manager to end the process.

I have Windows 7 64-bit. I don't have the program mentioned in the 2009 post (Replay Media Catcher and Converter).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
