Dear Olga,

guess what ?

I'm under Windows 11 x64 , and the bug is BACK ! so it's not anymore an issue on my side, but clearly a bug or a licence problem with your software ! it's happening again in the 64 bits version of your software... I erased the source file of my videos , thinking everything was ok as "usual", i check the destination and ... "here it is, again.." I lost my files...

same issue as this one :

"I have a logo showing Elecard in the up corner of the preview video. can't remove it. i see it's in the list of codec used by your sofware. and tonight, while doing my favorite game, splitting video, i got a "trial ended of elecard, blablabla purchase proper blablabla"

Hello Marty,

Thank you for your post.

As I've already wrote via support email, regrettably we have not reproduced this issue with Elecard logo at our end. We have checked this on several PCs.

Please send us log files for we could find out the problem reason with Elecard logo.

Here is how to get them:

Thank you.

Hello Marty,

Thank you for your post and your patience.

3/ if we put a marker on the jonction between 2 videos in a batch import, the software can freeze and need to be closed by force (task manager) and reloaded. I thought at first by the comment of the support here, that it was an issue related to my hardware jog (Shuttle express from counter design) but the same issue happened recently bu using my keyboard to put the markers.

According to this, could you please send us files that you open in Video Splitter as well as the project file? You can use e.g. Google drive to upload files.

Thank you in advance.

I just checked both 32 and 64 bit versions and could not reproduce the problem you described. Could you please let me know what file you try to open when you see  the watermark

hi thanks to have tried , but this issue went away with the clean re install of windows. (clean install of windows 11).
Certainly a codec registered issue with the elecard one, maybe because of an another software, and which impacted my system on win10 backk then.
for now, issue has not been reproduced.

the 3 mains issues i still have now are (these are reported since a long time and since many years), some were already there in the 6th version. :

1/ the subtitle one (it's blocking the rendering of many videos (cut), Mp4 or Mkv, and to have these parts cut, i need to remove the subtitles from the layer window (right click on the picture). it's usually the end of the videos (the last or several last cuts on a video (sometimes it's doing it at the beginning o in the middle, but it's more rare). if i click on cancel, the last cut is saved but with zero subtitle.

(i don't use anymore the 32 bits version, the licence doesn't allow anymore the use of both software at the same time, but sometimes, the processing issue (the one blocked by the subtitle) was appearing differently depending of which version, so a project saved in a 64 bits version could work in a 32 one and vice versa, but most of the time it was not working.).

I have a lot of project saved and which can't be cut and wait a possible fix because of this. :(

2/ there is a sync issue with SRT while cutting several videos imported in batch. only way is to do it is processing one video at a time and not using the batch and redoing the sync  with a subtitle editor :(. the generated srt has a shift in the subtitles, and must be resync. someone told that the first subtitle of the srt were cut, and everything was shifted, but it's an old message here.

Hello Marty!
Could you please send us the original input (...)

I'm already talking with the support about this since a long time. already provided a video file with project etc a lot of month ago, a link to a beta has been sent to me, but it didn't fixed the issue.
got the issue again tonight. unfortunatly it's on files i can't share with solveig. so i need to reproduce the issue with a video i can share. As soon as i can i'll provide all this "again", hoping a solution will be find.

I would suggest to check if you have both versions installed at the same time (by default in Program Files (x86)/Solveig Multimedia and in Program Files/Solveig Multimedia) and uninstall both of them in this case, then install the 64 bit version only and register it.

1) uninstalled both x86 and x64 tonight
2) installed x64 again
3) software didn't asked to re-enter my registeri / activation code, it was already registered, certainly it didn't removed the licence from the previous installation.
4 ) the issue just happened again 2 minutes ago... :( i'm very tired.

this is only doing it on specific video not all my videos

Could you please send us the original input file that you open in Video Splitter and the project file? You can upload it to any file sharing service, e.g. Google drive (https://drive.google.com) or Wetransfer.com.

To get the project file open the input file in Video Splitter, set fragments for saving and deleting then go to File menu -> Save project as and select folder to save the project file.

the x64 bits versions crash very often during the cut rendering

Please also upload for us the input file with which the crash happens and the project file. Specify please also on what step the crash happens.

Thank you.

this is only doing it on specific video not all my videos (same codec for each videos H264). the x64 bits versions crash very often during the cut rendering.. so in the end you don't know anymore what to do...
x64 work faster, but make issue while cutting.
x32 run slower and make whole Win10 to be slow, but work a bit better in term of cut processing.

Anyway, Ii already did what you suggest in the past. would love to do it again just to check one more time but already did.

What i think is that there are some videos which have maybe been encoded with some specific codec, and once processed in X64, make the not being registered logo burned on the processed cut video.
if it was an unregistered problem, it would happen on every videos, but it's not the case.

Hello this issue is back :( I'll write to you via a support ticket with all the files and the source one.
It's very annoying... after spending hours to do cut, that all the files can't be used and that everything must be redone.
i have the original file, the one cut in the 32 bits version of your software, showing No issue at all, and the 64 bits version showing it.
i don't understand how it can happen, as your software is Not encoding anything, so how such a logo and text display can be displayed on the video result ?

to answer your question, yes, i have both 32 bits and 64 bits version installed. no other choice. the 64 bits version has so much issues (often the subtitles has zero bytes when cut while the 32 bits doesn't make this bug, we reported this bug now since more than 2 years, both for 32 and 64 bits, why it's taking so long to be fixed ?).
for an unknown reason, the 32 bits make the computer to be very slow (windows 10), so to work on files with no subtitle, i must switch to 64 bits, and to avoid issues related to the 64 bits version i must switch to the 32 bits one.

as much as i love your software, all this is pretty annoying. i'm not even speaking about project which crash during the cut / rendering. this video which displayed the elecard logo in the 64 bits version, stopped to do the cut at the 5th (5/9), and i had no other choice to switch to the 32 bits version to have a proper cut and the whole video done and with no logo. (no subtitles on this one it's just a Mp4 video which come from youtube).
youtube codecs are not at fault, i had this same issue with other Mp4 (H264) coming from a complete different source.

Hello Marty,

Bugs with editing files with srt subtitles are still in our "to do" list.
As soon as they will be fixed and the updated version will be ready we will write here.

i don't have this issue anymore since a long time. and at this time, no , i didn't had both version installed together. before that i never had installed the 64 bits version because i was not aware of its existance.

unfortunatly there is a bug on the recent 32 and 64 bits version that the guys at solveig are aware, it's with the subtitles.
1) out of sync subtitles when editing several videos at once
2) sometimes, 0 bytes srt file are generated...

only way I found to stop this issue is to install an old version of the 32 bits version which has not this issue (the last versions have it) (and it doesn't fix the other subtitle issue, the out of sync issue if we edit several subtitled video at the same time).
but the 32 bits version for an unknown reason, slow down completly my computer (i7 + 32 gb of ram, and nothing in the performance information of windows, no gpu pic, or anything, it's just slowing down the whole windows.)
where the 64 bits is not making this issue. but the 64 make out of sync subtitle or randomly generate subtitled video with a 0 bytes srt file :( ... making the whole process uselss and lost.

so i use the 32 bits version only to edit videos with Srt files, and the 64 bits version now for everything else until a fix is found.

unfortunatly it's now 2 years that this bug has been reported and still no fix...
if solveig release the version 8 with this bug fixed, i think i'll be a bit on nerves lol...

Hi just to let you know that i sent you here in PM a video file which was doing the issue. it seems it's related to the x64 version, i reverted to the 32bits version and so far didn't had this issue yet.
