Video Splitter / Re: Problem saving fragments from MPEG video

Hello Dbronst,

Please check first of all what Video Splitter version you use at the present time.
You can find it in the Help -> About SolveigMM Video Splitter.

I recommend to try to use the latest beta version of the product available at the following direct link:

If the reinstallation will not help please upload for us the MPEG2 file you have opened in the Video Splitter for we could reproduce this issue at our end. You can use any file host service to upload the file, e.g. Dropbox.com or Google drive.

Also please send us the project file. To get it select fragments for saving then go to menu File -> Save project as. Please send us the .ssp file that will be created.

Попробуйте, пожалуйста, выбрать в свойствах MPEG Layer 3 аудио компрессора другое значение битрейта, например, 192 Kбит/с (см. скриншот ниже).



Скажите, пожалуйста, поможет ли это?

Dear Yak2000,

Could you please let us know what software is used by you to run HyperCam 3 on Mac OS?
If you use Parallels then what option was selected in "The integration with Mac"section of Parallels installation?

Please let me know in details what result you have received with these codecs?

Do you have these codecs in the "Options" -> "Video" tab -> "Video compressor" combobox list?

I've tried to launch HyperCam 3 via Parallels and received the following result: the desktop of Windows and all its objects could be recorded by HyperCam but Mac dektop can't (there is the gray screen insteed of Mac OS objects).
I've selected the "Integration with Mac" section "Like a PC" while the installation. Possibly with the alternative option there will be another result.

As the temporary solution you can copy/paste your promoting tutorials (especially if they are in the pdf file format) to the Windows desktop and record them using HyperCam 3. The Parallels application installed with "Like a PC" option is required for this.

Thank you for your post.

Regrettably Video Splitter saves at the present time only one audio track in the output file.
We will possibly add such feature to Video Splitter's next releases.
If such version appear in future I'll post at this thread.

Спасибо за ответ.
Не могли бы Вы прислать нам следующие скриншоты:

1) окно, которое появляется при нажатии на кнопку "Свойства" при выборе Xvid MPEG-4 Codec (скриншот 2 моего предыдущего сообщения).
Обратите, пожалуйста, внимание на то что для поля "Encoding type" должно быть выбрано свойство "Single pass".

2) окна, которое появляется при нажатии на кнопку "More" поля "Profile level" (окно открывается по предудущему пункту "1)", скриншот 3 моего предыдущего сообщения).

3) окна, которое открывается по кнопке "Other options", находящейся на окне пункта "1)".

Thank you for your posts.
We have reproduced issue with  Microsoft ADPCM/WAV crash error building Audio Graph you have described.

The sound interruption after some time of recording regrettably there was not repruduced, but there were another issues with recording when selecting Xvid codec and uncompressed audio that we'll try to fix in near future.

Please try to set in "Options" -> "Device" combobox-> System Audio (Options -> Audio tab).
And also you can try to use "WMAudio Encoder DMO" as the audio compressor.
Also please select as the temporary solution the WMVideo 9 Encoder DMO as the video compressor (Options -> Video tab).

Здравствуйте Fedosyk,

Спасибо.
Попробуйте, пожалуйста, изменить настройки Xvid декодера.
Для этого нужно перейти в Параметры -> Видео и напротив выбранного алгоритма сжатия видео выбрать "Свойства".


Далее нужно нажать на кнопку "more..." напротив поля "Profile @ Level".


В появившемся окне нужно убрать галку с поля  "B-VOPs". Нажмите ОК чтобы сохранить настройки (для всех открытых окон настроек).


Будет ли это полезным?

В архиве, который Вы прислали, к сожалению нет лог файлов (только два скриншота).
Не могли бы Вы попробовать записать и загрузить их еще раз?
Здесь можно посмотреть краткую инструкцию о том как их получить.
Если у Вас есть какие-нибудь вопросы, пожалуйста, не стесняйтесь спрашивать.

Не могли бы Вы записать для нас лог файлы чтобы понять причину проблемы?

Thank you for your post.
If I have understood you correctly you would like to fade-out some fragment at the end of the video and would like to stay the sound of this fragment.
If so, Video Splitter regrettably doesn't support such feature at the present time.
We will possibly add it to the product's next releases.
If such feature appear I'll post here.

Thank you for your post.
If you disable "Frame Accuracy (Smart mode)" then the video will be edited with the K-frame (GOP) accuracy.
With this mode you can get sometimes not accurate results due the fact the saved fragment usually should be started with the key frame.

Извините за задержку с ответом.

Осталось одно неудобство, о котором я писал.
Когда ставим маркер в позицию курсора, то активным помечается участок фильма правее маркера (и курсора соответственно), т.е. тот, до которого мы еще не дошли и с которым пока ничего не собираемся делать. А удалять или сохранять нужно тот, который левее маркера. Чтобы он среагировал на команду, его надо сделать активным. Для этого надо на него навести курсор.
В результате мы делаем лишние движения. Мы теряем то место фильма, на котором стоял курсор. Чтобы его вернуть обратно, надо еще изловчиться. Я не нашел кнопки, которая его туда возвращала бы автоматически. Наведение мышки на нужный участок фильма и команда по правой клавише - не помогают. На команду все равно реагирует другой участок фильма - который активный.
Для исправления всего этого нужно сделать одну простую вещь: после установки маркера активировать кусок фильма слева от него, а не справа.

Не  могли бы Вы записать последовательность Ваших действий, например, с HyperCam 3 чтобы понять в каком случае будет удобно такое выделение.
Возможно расстановка маркеров начинается справа налево, а подразумевается по умолчанию выбор фрагментов слева направо (начало/конец фрагмента), то есть с начала шкалы времени и до её окончания.  Уточните, пожалуйста, так ли это?
Возможно, мы добавим опцию для случая расстановки маркеров с окончания шкалы времени до её начала, то есть в обратном порядке.

If Video Splitter works under frame accuracy mode only few frames at the beginning and at the end of GOP are reencoded.
You can try to switch to the K-frame (GOP) accuracy mode (Contro -> disable "Frame Accuracy (Smart mode)").

Regarding the delay, do you mean that the editing process was started after the 11 seconds delay or the resulted file has the audio/video async?
Please let me know also what file format have you tried to edit? It would be helpful  for us if you could send us MediaInfo information about this file (right mouse click on the file then select "Save to text file"). You can send the created file to support(at)solveigmm(dot)com.
