Video Splitter / Feature request: OGM chapter editing
« on: June 12, 2011, 04:50:43 PM »
Hey!
I would love to see a feature in SolveigMM: chapter editing.
It's already possible to export the timecodes of the markers as a .ssp file with a specific formatting.
Would it be possible to add other formatting, for using SolveigMM as a chapter editor?

For example, the OGM format is as follows
Code: [Select]
CHAPTER01=00:00:00.000
CHAPTER01NAME=CHAPTER01
CHAPTER02=00:01:00.000
CHAPTER02NAME=CHAPTER02

I know it's not the main goal of SolveigMM VS, but I thought it was a simple feature to add, and it could prove useful!

Thank you for you help, I sent a PM with all the info!

I tried to split an m2ts file (bluray rip) with solveigmm VS 2.4.1104.15 (registered user), but with no success.
Solveigmm correctly loads the file, no problem to set the markers, but it fails to save the selected fragment.
The "now splitting the sequence..." pops up, stays at 0% then disappears, it creates a 0kb m2ts file and says it finished successfully.

The video is AVC High@L4.1, 22.5mbps VBR, NTSC, YUV...
Is there anything I can try ?

Video Splitter / Re: Video Splitter MKV - AVC Frame accuracy testing

Great!!!
I just tried the beta with mkv and mp4 files, and it's such a great feeling to be able to split all kinds of videos with a good trimmer.

I ran into a few bugs though:
1) Some videos (mkv, x264) seem to play fine in WMP, MPC-HC, but not VLC. Do you have any idea why ?
2) Recutting a clip a 2nd time made the video impossible to play with all players (WMP said the file had a problem, MPC-HC crashed, VLC played the video with very strange (and funny) glitches.
3) Trimmed clip can have a jerky start or a black screen for a split second at the beginning of the video. Do you have any tips to avoid that kind of behaviour ?

Thanks again for this software that deserves to be better known. There are so many crappy so-called "trimmers" that convert the video instead of direct copying it.
