SolveigMM WMP Trimmer Plug-In / WMP Trimmer v.2.1.1202.29 slow to save trimmed file

Hello,
I am trying to split a wmv file into smaller parts. The WMP trimmer is working, but it takes a very loooong time to save files. The File that I am splitting up is about 825Mb. Is there some setting I can change on the trimmer to improve it's performance? Or is there something about the wmv file format that can effect the performance of the trimmer?
The files are all local
I am using windows 7 on MP12
