By the way Dmitry, I do have one small issue. The start time does not coincide with the assumed begin time; its off by 5 to 10 seconds sometimes. The end time is perfectly correct. What may cause this inaccuracy?

Hello Roberto,
As you probably know, to provide an user fast and a video quality lossless video trimming, the AVI Trimmer performs trimming tasks with K Frame accuracy.

That means that an output fragment will be started with K frame.
And if K frame time position doesn't coincide with the start time set, the output AVI file lenhgt will consists of a fragment length set plus a time of frames up to previous K Frame.

This feature guarantees you a proper playback of the trimmed AVI file.

Also you can try the full featured version - SolveigMM Video Splitter instead.

Though it is shareware product it hasn't any restriction even after an evaluation perion is expired.

The Video Splitter has (What You See Is What You Get ) preview feature (positioning only to K Frames).

I got it working, and it works great. I believe the issue was that it may have had some conflict with an MP3 software I was trying out. After uninstalling this software, and reinstalling the AVITrimmer version 1.1, it works smoothly.

Hello robertscap,

Please contact us at support@solveigmm.com
It would be nice if you provide us with information in detail.

Is v.1.1 failed with any AVI files you try or with a certain one?
What OS and Service Packs installed do you have?
Regards,

I'm hoping someone can assist me with my problem. After using AVITrimmer version 1.0 with tremendous results, I just installed the new beta version 1.1 with the viewer.

When I attempt to shut it down after a run has been completed, I'm now experiencing the following unusual problem.

AVITrimmerApp MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Error signature:
AppName: avitrimmerapp.exe    AppVer: 1.0.0.1    ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180    Offset: 000118c5

In addition, the trimmed file will not open in Windows Mediaplayer 10. Here's the message I receive.

Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to the Player.

I have uninstalled this newer version, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled version 1.0, and I'm still encountering this problem. I have even done a 'system restore', and that hasn't worked either. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, were you able to correct it? Thanks.
