SolveigMM Video Splitter is recognized as the best application of the week for Windows 7

Microsoft Russia together with the 3DNews laboratory has recognized video editor, SolveigMM Video Splitter, as «The application of the Week" (8-12 August) in the contest "The best applications for Windows 7".

SolveigMM Video Splitter  was presented at the contest and, among other applications, has been carefully tested in the 3DNews lab and by evaluation expert committee on criteria such as number of used new interface features of Windows 7, easy of setup, intuitive interface, "purity" of the application uninstalling, certification of application and obtaining the "Compatible with Windows 7" logo and others. Based on a comprehensive assessment that determines the level of the new features of Windows 7 and 3DNews rating, it was chosen as the "application of the week" (8-12 August 2011).

The program is designed for fast editing of video and audio files - removing and saving  video/audio fragments, and their joining . The main feature of the program that distinguishes it from dozens of others, is that the editing processed without re-encoding, that allows to save the quality of the original movie. In addition, SolveigMM Video Splitter uses the advanced technologies, including DirectX and Windows Media Format Library 9 Series.

The contest "The best applications for Windows 7" is held in order to attract the attention of users of Windows 7 to the best applications created by Russian developers on this platform. The contest is made for free, shareware and commercial applications built on the territory of Russian Federation and developed using the new functionality of Microsoft Windows 7. The best applications a week will be selected every week for three months. In September 2011, the experts will select three applications with the highest rating of 3DNews lab - ''Winners of the best applications for Windows 7 contest''.
