How to convert VOB to MPG file

SolveigMM Video Splitter is the powerful and fast video editor that supports all popular file  formats editing, such as AVCHD, FLV, MP4, MOV, WEB-M, MKV, AVI, ASF, WMV, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, WAV, WMA and MP3.

If you would like to save fragments from VOB file or in MPG file format or just convert VOB file to MPG please follow the steps of this guideline.

1. Download and install the product on your computer.
 
2. Launch Video Splitter from its yellow icon on the desktop or follow Start -> All programs -> Solveig Multimedia -> SolveigMM Video Spliter Home Edition.
 
3. Open your VOB in Video Splitter. Follow File menu -> Open media file..., drag-and-drop the file to Video Splitter main window from any folder or use "Input" button.

4. Select fragments of VOB file you would like to be saved. Use slider to navigate to the fragments end and beginning time positions. Click ''Add marker" button to mark the start and end positions of fragments you would like to be saved.

Note: if you wouldn't like to save some fragments, but need just to convert the whole VOB file to MPG go the step "6".
 
5. Now mark fragments you wouldn't like to be presented in the final video. Move slider to fragment for deleting and click the "Cut off selected fragment" button.

6. Click the "Trim" button.

7. In the opened dialog box select folder for output file saving, change the name of the output file if necessary and in the ''File type" combobox select "MPEG-2 Program Stream (*.mpg)". Click the "Save" button.

The progress bar of editing process will appear.

To open the resulted output file go to "Tools -> Explore folder -> Output" or right mouse click on the name of the output file at the left "Output" area of Video Splitter main window and select "Browse file".
