With the latest release, the free video editor received enhanced support for key frame-precise editing, better video fragment processing, and a lot of interface improvements to make the work even easier.

AVI Trimmer+ is a free video editor by Solveig Multimedia providing quick lossless editing of all popular video and audio formats. Thanks to the advanced SolveigMM Video Editing engine, the tool delivers lossless cutting and editing of video files. And with the latest release of AVI Trimmer+ version 5, users can enjoy an even wider range of professional capabilities in this free utility.

One of the focal points of the update is the extended line of formats for which AVI Trimmer+ supports editing. Additionally to the previously available AVI, DV AVI and MKV, the software now makes it possible to edit MP4, MOV, WEBM, FLV, ASF, WMV, MP1, MP2, MP3 и WAV formats. The updated version also features a completely new user interface. In particular, a user can now save any given fragments of a video in a single pass, while the visual timeline is now scalable to make selection of fragments easier and displays an audio wave as well. Overall, a number of built-in instruments have made AVI Trimmer+ a lot friendlier when dividing a video into pieces. E.g., the user can cut a video to predefined fragments of the equal size or duration, or mute sound of the specified fragments.

AVI Trimmer+ 5 is free. The application supports Windows XP or above and requires DirectX 8 runtime and appropriate video and audio decoders to be installed in the system.
